Hollywood’s leading ladies were out on Wednesday morning, December 11th, 2013 to celebrate The Hollywood Reporter’s ‘Women In Entertainment: Power 100’ in Los Angeles, California. This year jewelry designer, Roberto Coin, sponsored the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award which was received by Oprah Winfrey. The Sherry Lansing Award, which recognizes a woman in the entertainment industry who is a pioneer and leader in the industry, was presented to Oprah by journalist and activist Maria Shriver.
Designed by Roberto Coin, the award was made of sterling silver and an 18K gold plate with a diamond detail on top that is a replica of his signature 100 faceted Cento diamond.
At the event, she wore four white gold bracelets from the Primavera Collection** with three white gold bracelets from the new Pois Moi Collection. Other celebrities in attendance wearing Roberto Coin included Maria Shriver wearing a ring and earrings from the Cocktail Collection. Editors from The Hollywood Reporter also wore Roberto Coin including the Editor in Chief, Janice Min, who wore a pair of earrings from the Cocktail Collection.
Although the breakfast boasted much glitz and glamour, the true purpose was to shine a light on the power of giving back. Oprah was awarded this prestigious honor due to her excellence in giving back to the community, or more accurately, the world. Her speech was full of inspiration, motivation and passion, able to move an entire room of industry heavyweights to tears. It goes without saying that Oprah Winfrey is a truly great woman whose generous legacy will transcend generations.
