Activation of the Prestige Service is not automatic. At the time of purchase, directly and exclusively at the boutique where the purchase is made, the client must provide complete personal details and email address by completing the relevant form, in order to receive by email the link required to activate the service.

Upon receipt of the email, the client shall access and register on the dedicated platform through the link contained therein. The activation link shall remain active for a period of thirty (30) days only and may not be reissued or reinstated.
Should the client fail to receive the invitation email, the client may contact Roberto Coin customer care team directly at the following address: customercare@robertocoin.com.

Upon successful completion of the registration process, the Creation shall appear in the client’s personal area, and from that moment the Prestige Service shall be deemed active.

The service shall have a duration of two (2) years from the date of purchase, provided that it has been duly activated, and shall be valid worldwide.

The Prestige Service shall apply exclusively to Creations purchased at the official Roberto Coin boutiques in Rome and Venice.

The Prestige Service covers the following events:

• irreparable accidental damage caused by sudden external events;
• burglary or robbery (including pickpocketing).

Upon receipt of the request, Roberto Coin may, at its sole discretion, issue to the customer a digital voucher with a value equal to that of the Creation, in respect of which the activation of the service has been requested.
The voucher may be redeemed at the official Roberto Coin boutiques in Rome and Venice within one (1) year from the date of its issuance. The voucher shall not be refundable and may be used exclusively for the purchase of new Roberto Coin creations.

RC Prestige Service shall not cover:

• damage resulting from normal wear and tear or deterioration;
• damage caused by improper use or negligence;
• damage resulting from repairs not performed by Roberto Coin;
• loss or misplacement of the creation;
• events occurring after the expiration of the RC Prestige Service;
• the events referred to in article 3 where they relate to jewels resold as second-hand items.

Any request for activation of the Prestige Service shall be submitted exclusively through the platform and must mandatorily include the following information:

• the client’s personal and contact details;
• the date, place and description of the event;
• the details of the creation in respect of which the client seeks to benefit from the RC Prestige Service;
• in the event of damage, photographs and/or videos evidencing the damage;
• in the event of theft or robbery, a copy of the official report evidencing the filing of a complaint with the police or other competent authority. Upon request by Roberto Coin, the original document shall be produced. Should such original not be produced within thirty (30) days from the relevant request, the Prestige Service may not be activated.

The customer shall complete, sign and submit to Roberto Coin the relevant declaration made available on the platform in the section dedicated to requests for activation of the Prestige Service. Where Roberto Coin confirms the activation of the service, such activation shall result in the transfer of ownership of the damaged or stolen creation to Roberto Coin, which shall constitute an essential condition for the issuance of the Voucher.

In the event of a damaged creation, the creation shall furthermore be shipped to Roberto Coin at the customer’s sole cost and responsibility. The voucher shall be issued only upon delivery of the creation to Roberto Coin.
In the event of a stolen creation, ownership of the creation shall vest in Roberto Coin upon the granting of the benefit. Accordingly, by submitting the request and completing the relevant declaration, the customer undertakes to declare, in the report filed with the competent authority, the waiver of ownership of the creation in favour of Roberto Coin and, should it be recovered, to deliver or procure the delivery of it to Roberto Coin.

The RC Prestige Service shall remain valid in the event that the creation is gifted to a third party, provided that the customer registers the gift recipient on the platform. The creation may be gifted only once; any subsequent transfer to a third party shall result in the automatic termination of the Service.

The RC Prestige Service shall automatically terminate in the event that the creation is resold.

Personal data shall be processed exclusively for purposes related to the management of the Prestige Service, in compliance with the GDPR and applicable data protection laws. The processing shall be carried out by Roberto Coin S.p.A., as Data Controller, and by the technology partner AION Cover S.r.l., as Data Processor.
