Remove your jewellery before washing your hands, showering, swimming or practicing sports. Contact with water, chlorine, seawater or cosmetic products may affect precious metals, pearls and gemstones.
Avoid exposure to intense heat and sudden temperature changes, which may alter the natural balance of materials.
By caring for your creation with attention and respect, you will preserve its beauty for years to come, allowing it to shine as brilliantly as the day it was first worn.
To maintain the brilliance and value of your Roberto Coin creation, regular cleaning is essential. We recommend an annual visit to a Roberto Coin boutique, where our experts can carefully inspect, clean and restore your jewel’s luminosity.
If your piece features precious stones, professional handling is particularly important to ensure their integrity and secure setting over time.
Jewellery pieces can scratch when they come into contact with one another. To protect their surfaces and settings, we recommend storing each creation individually in its original Roberto Coin case.
Close clasps carefully and lay chains flat to prevent knots. Handle mechanisms with attention, ensuring bracelets and closures are properly secured.
A few mindful gestures each day will preserve the harmony and beauty of your jewel.
At Roberto Coin, every precious stone and noble material is chosen for its enduring beauty. To preserve its brilliance over time, we invite you to treat your creation with thoughtful care.
DIAMONDS
Diamonds are the hardest of all stones. They can be worn with confidence every day, but care must be taken to avoid knocks. To clean, use warm soapy water before drying with a soft dry cloth.
SAPPHIRES AND RUBIES
Although very hard, sapphires and rubies are sensitive to knocks. Like all precious materials, these gems must be handled with care to avoid scratches and breakages. We recommend that you have your jewellery cleaned in-store regularly to avoid any mishandling. Sapphires and rubies cannot withstand ultrasound cleaning.
EMERALDS
Emeralds need to be handled with care to avoid scratches and chips. They cannot withstand rhodium plating or ultrasound cleaning. You should avoid liquids, as well as heat, perfumes, cosmetics and household products, which could damage them.We recommend that you have your creation cleaned periodically in a boutique to avoid any mishandling.
MOTHER-OF-PEARL AND PEARLS
Mother-of-pearl and pearls are sensitive to friction with other materials, which can scratch them. We recommend that you avoid liquids, heat, perfumes, cosmetics and household products that can damage them. Pearls and mother-of-pearl do not tolerate ultrasound cleaning.
A soft cloth is all you need to care for them.
ONYX
Onyx should be handled with care as it is sensitive to scratches and knocks. To clean onyx, use warm soapy water and a small soft brush before drying with a soft cloth. Onyx does not tolerate contact with solvents.
MALACHITE
Malachite is sensitive to knocks and friction with all materials, which can scratch it. Liquids, perfumes and household products should be avoided. Malachite does not tolerate ultrasound cleaning. A soft cloth is all you need to care for it.
